About the player
Dylan Tavares was born in Geneva. He came through the game locally, starting out at Étoile Carouge before a spell at Stade Nyonnais and a return to Carouge, then joined Servette FC's under-21 side. A move to Yverdon-Sport FC followed, and from there he settled at FC Stade Lausanne Ouchy, where he made 70 appearances over three seasons.
In July 2021 Tavares signed for Neuchâtel Xamax on a free transfer, then moved on again a year later, joining SC Bastia in similar fashion. He spent three seasons there, making 64 senior appearances and scoring three goals. That run ended in June 2025, when he joined FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, again on a free transfer.
His first season at Sochaux was productive: 29 appearances across the National and Coupe de France, with five assists to his name. He has continued in that vein into the following campaign, featuring six times in Ligue 2 as Sochaux moved up a division.
