About the player
Erwin Koffi was born in Paris and holds dual French and Ivorian citizenship. He came through the youth ranks at Épinay-sur-Seine and Entente Sannois-Saint-Gratien before joining LB Châteauroux, where he made his senior debut in 2013. A free transfer took him to FC Lorient in 2015, and from there his career moved abroad, first to Cypriot side Anórthosis Famagusta and then to Olympiakos Nicosia.
It was at Pau FC, whom he joined on a free transfer in 2020, that Koffi built his reputation. Originally a midfielder and forward, he became a leader in the side, going on to become the first player to pass 100 appearances for the club in Ligue 2. That spell was not without incident: he served a two-match suspension after disturbances following a match against Dunkerque during the 2021–2022 season.
In 2023 he left France for Azerbaijan, signing a two-year contract with Neftçi PFK. Over two seasons he made 74 appearances and scored three goals as the club finished fifth and then sixth in the Azerbaijan Premier League, reaching the semi-finals of the Azerbaijan Cup both times. Neftçi opted not to renew his contract, and Koffi returned to France in June 2025, joining En Avant Guingamp on a free transfer, where he now wears the number 2 shirt as a right-back.
