About the player
Gleb Popolitov has changed clubs four times in barely two years as a senior professional. He began at Stroitel Kamensk-Shakhtinsky in the Russian Second League, making his debut in April 2024 and opening his goalscoring account three months later.
A switch to Chayka Peschanokopskoye in the First League followed in July 2025, yielding nine appearances and two goals before CSKA Moscow moved for him. Popolitov signed a three-year contract with CSKA on 11 September 2025 and made his Russian Premier League debut against Baltika Kaliningrad later that month, also featuring in the Russian Cup. On 18 June 2026 he joined Pari Nizhny Novgorod on loan until June 2027, and has since made 12 First League appearances for the club, scoring three goals.
Left-footed and used on the right wing, Popolitov has also broken into Russia's youth set-up. He made his debut for the under-18s in November 2025, scoring once in two matches, and has since added four caps and a goal for the under-21s, netting in a friendly against Uzbekistan's under-21 side in March 2026.
