George Campbell

George Campbell came through Georgia United before joining the Atlanta United Academy, and it was there that he was signed as a homegrown player, with the contract taking effect at the start of 2020. He spent time in the club's reserve side, Atlanta United 2, in the USL Championship, before establishing himself with the first team, where he went on to make 36 appearances and score once.

In December 2022 he moved to CF Montréal in a transfer that included a significant allocation-money package, and over three seasons in Montréal he built up 70 appearances, scoring once. That run of regular football preceded his move to West Bromwich Albion in July 2025, a transfer reported to be worth around £1 million, though the fee itself was not disclosed by either club. At West Brom he has continued to be a regular fixture in defence, having scored four goals in 40 appearances for the club.

Campbell's form for CF Montréal and West Brom fed into international recognition. Having previously represented the United States at U-23 level, he earned his senior debut for the United States in January 2025, starting in a friendly victory over Venezuela.
