About the player
Hamadi Al Ghaddioui had already worn the shirts of ten different clubs by the time he arrived at Fortuna Köln in July 2025, a path that took him from Bayer Leverkusen's reserve side through Verl, Dortmund's second team, Sportfreunde Lotte, Jahn Regensburg, VfB Stuttgart, Pafos FC in Cyprus, Sandhausen and Freiburg's reserves before a spell at KFC Uerdingen 05. Born in Bonn to Moroccan parents, he holds Moroccan citizenship.
It was at Regensburg and then at Stuttgart, in the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons, that Al Ghaddioui first showed his scoring instincts, finishing among the top 20 marksmen in the 2. Bundesliga in both campaigns without ever taking the top-scorer prize. His move to Stuttgart in 2019 came on the back of that form at Regensburg.
At Fortuna Köln, wearing number 18, he found some of the best form of his career. Playing in the Regionalliga West in the 2025–26 season, he scored 12 goals in 31 appearances as the club won the division title. Along the way, transfer fees for his services have ranged from as little as €40,000, when he joined Sportfreunde Lotte, up to €300,000 for his switch to Stuttgart.
