About the player
Helinho came through the São Paulo academy from 2012 and worked his way to a first-team debut in 2018.
At Toluca, Helinho has won the Clausura and Apertura titles in 2025, the Campeones Cup, the CONCACAF Champions Cup and the Leagues Cup, and was named to the Best XI of the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
His international career has stayed at youth level. He was capped for Brazil's under-16s as far back as December 2015, then went to the 2017 Under-17 World Cup, coming on as a substitute for the injured Vinícius Júnior in three appearances. A single under-20 cap followed in March 2018, in which he scored in a 1–1 draw with Mexico. He trained with the senior Brazil squad in 2019 but has yet to earn his first cap at that level.
