I. Doicarau

Iustin Doicaru left Romania for the Turkish Süper Lig for the 2026/27 season, joining Çaykur Rizespor from Farul Constanța. The move follows a path that began in the youth system built around the Gheorghe Hagi Academy, the Constanța project that grew out of Viitorul Constanța.

Doicaru is a product of that academy. He came through the youth ranks and into the senior side at Farul Constanța, where he spent the period from 2023 to 2026. It was there that he made his debut in the Romanian SuperLiga. Constanța was therefore the setting for his whole development, from the academy to the top flight.

That is the side of the pitch from which he has worked for Farul.

Rizespor is his first club outside Romania. The Süper Lig is a new league for him, and he arrives having already played senior football in his own country's top division. He has not yet been capped by the Romanian senior national team.

His career so far has been short and built at a single place. The academy that trained him and the club where he first played in the SuperLiga are closely linked. The step to Turkey is the first time he has had to prove himself away from that setting.
