About the player
Imrân Louza scored on his Morocco debut. It came on 6 October 2021 in a 5–0 win over Guinea-Bissau in 2022 World Cup qualifying. He added a second against Sudan on 12 November 2021. He had played for France at U20 and U21 level before committing to Morocco, and he was in the squad that reached the semi-finals of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, played in early 2022. As of May 2026 he had 15 caps and two goals.
His route there began in Nantes. He spent a year at Étoile du Cens, then joined the FC Nantes academy in 2006 and came up through the B team before making his senior debut in 2019. The club named him its Player of the Month in January 2020. In June 2021 Watford signed him for a reported €10 million.
October 2022 was the low point. He fractured a fibula and damaged ligaments, which ruled him out of the World Cup.
In January 2024 he went on loan to Lorient for the rest of the 2023–24 season and played 14 Ligue 1 matches. In 2024–25 he scored twice and provided nine assists in the Championship, and Watford voted him their Player of the Season.
