About the player
Islam Imamov came through the Izhorets school in Saint Petersburg before starting his senior career at Legion-Dinamo Makhachkala in the Second League. A move to Kuban-Kholding followed, where he made 24 appearances in the 2021/22 season, and in July 2022 he joined SKA-Khabarovsk on a free transfer.
It was in Khabarovsk that Imamov established himself. Over four seasons in the First League he made 84 appearances across all competitions, including 79 league matches and 26 clean sheets. In the 2022/23 campaign he was named Best Goalkeeper of the 30th round and was included in the Team of the Round on two occasions that season.
When his contract with SKA-Khabarovsk expired, Imamov signed for Pari Nizhny Novgorod on a free transfer in June 2026, agreeing a '1+1' deal. He has since made three appearances in the First League and one in the Russian Cup for his new club.
Imamov has not been capped by the Russian national team at any level.
