About the player
Junior Marabel arrived at Sarmiento de Junín on loan in 2026, and by August 2026 he was the top scorer of the Torneo Clausura, with six goals in five matches for Sarmiento.
He came through at Deportivo Capiatá in Paraguay, where he was registered from 2016 to 2022, though much of that spell was spent away on loan — first at Cerro Porteño in 2018, then at 12 de Octubre, Guaireña and General Caballero JLM. In the second half of 2022 he moved to Argentina permanently, signing for Unión de Santa Fe in a deal worth 563,000 dollars, including interest. Deportivo Capiatá retains 60% of his economic rights.
After a further loan at General Caballero JLM in 2023, Marabel moved to Chile to join Palestino, where he had his most prolific spell to date: 22 goals across the 2024 and 2025 seasons, split 12 and eight respectively. That form led to his loan move to Sarmiento in 2026.
He has not yet won a major team title in his career, nor has he made his senior debut for the Paraguay national team.
