Jon Moncayola Tollar

Jon Moncayola Tollar is a product of Osasuna's Tajonar academy, having joined the club at the age of ten after coming through at Peña Sport. His path to the first team went through a loan at CD Iruña in the Tercera División and two seasons with Osasuna B before he made his La Liga debut on 17 August 2019 against CD Leganés, opening his scoring account against RCD Espanyol that November. He has stayed at Osasuna ever since, and the club rewarded that loyalty in June 2021 with a contract extension running until 2031, attaching a release clause of €22 million, later reduced to €20 million.

Moncayola was part of the Osasuna squad that won the 2018–19 Segunda División title and returned to La Liga, and he featured for the side that reached the 2022–23 Copa del Rey final, where they finished runners-up. In the 2025–26 season he set a personal best of four assists in a single campaign, having previously topped out at three across three separate seasons. In August 2023 he became the first player to receive the club's "Jugador Kosner del Mes" award.

His international career has taken him through Spain's under-21 side, where he won seven caps and scored once, and the under-23 Olympic squad. With Spain he won a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics, coming off the bench against Egypt, Ivory Coast, Japan and Brazil. In March 2024 he also turned out once for the Basque Country national team, against Uruguay. His grandfather, Luis Tollar, worked as a football referee.
