About the player
Jozef Urblik made his senior debut for FC Nitra on 23 November 2013 against Dukla Banská Bystrica, staying with the club until June 2016 and racking up 41 league appearances and eight goals in the process. A free move took him to Czech side FC Vysočina Jihlava, where he spent two seasons and added 43 appearances and six goals to his tally.
In August 2018 he joined Puskás Akadémia FC in Hungary, where he stayed for five years, making 87 league appearances, scoring seven goals, and featuring in European competition. On 21 February 2023 he moved on a free transfer to Vasas SC, signing a contract until June 2028. By May 2026 had made 99 league appearances and scored 24 goals in the number 88 shirt.
The high point of his time at Vasas came in the 2021–22 season, when the club won the Nemzeti Bajnokság II title and secured promotion to the top flight. At international level, his experience is limited to the youth ranks: a single cap for Slovakia's under-17s in 2012 and four caps for the under-21 side between 2017 and 2018.
Urblik was born in Bardejov, Slovakia, and follows his father, also named Jozef Urblik, into professional football.
