Márk Kovácsréti

Márk Kovácsréti came up through Budapest's biggest academies before ever kicking a competitive ball for a first team, moving from Újpest through Vasas and Ferencváros as a boy before settling at Kisvárda, where he eventually turned professional. His senior career took shape there between 2018 and 2021, when he made 52 appearances and scored three goals, with a loan spell at Nyíregyháza Spartacus along the way.

A move to MTK Budapest followed in 2021, and he stayed three seasons, scoring four goals in 35 matches. It was back at Nyíregyháza Spartacus, though, where he found his best form: over three seasons from 2023 he made 90 appearances and scored 16 goals, becoming a key player for the club. That spell also produced a Player of the Round award in the Hungarian NB I, and he built a reputation at the club for a handful of goals good enough to be remembered as "beauty goals" among the fans and staff there.

Internationally, Kovácsréti's involvement has stayed at youth level. He earned a single cap for Hungary's under-17s in 2016, then five caps for the under-21s between 2019 and 2021, a run that included a place in the squad for the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.

He returns to Vasas SC, a club he already knows from his youth days, on a contract running to 2029. He now takes over the number 10 shirt for a side he first represented as a teenager, more than a decade after he first left it.
