Jacob Chapman

Jacob Chapman arrived at Huddersfield Town in January 2019 after a trial, leaving his early development at Sydney United 58 and Marconi Stallions in Australia behind. The move marked the start of a long association with the Championship side, though it was defined less by First Team football and more by a series of loans designed to build experience. He spent seven years at the Kirklees club, but his time was split across five different destinations.

The most significant period of regular game time came during his loan at Crawley Town. The goalkeeper made 20 League Two appearances for the club between January and June 2026. This stint provided a stable environment away from the hierarchy at Huddersfield, allowing him to establish himself as a consistent performer in the fourth tier. His work there eventually paved the way for a new chapter.

On 1 July 2026, Chapman transferred to the Scottish Premiership club St Mirren on a two-year deal. The move represented a step up in competition level and a shift in geography. At St Mirren, he holds the position of number one goalkeeper.

Internationally, Chapman has represented Australia at U23 level, known as the Olyroos. He was called up for friendlies in Spain in May and June 2021. While he has featured for the development side, there is no public record of him earning senior caps for the Socceroos. His focus remains on establishing himself as a reliable presence in goal at club level in Scotland.
