About the player
Jacob Rasmussen came through Næsby Boldklub before a move to Odense Boldklub. Schalke 04 signed him in 2014, and after a spell at St. Pauli he made his senior debut there.
A move to Italy followed, first at Empoli and then at Fiorentina. A loan to Feyenoord in 2022–23 brought him another league title, the Eredivisie.
His performances earned a first call-up to the senior Denmark squad in March 2024, for friendlies against Switzerland and the Faroe Islands, following years of representing his country from U16 level through to 17 caps for the U21s.
A €3 million move to Red Bull Salzburg came in June 2025, where he featured in the group stage of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, before a January 2026 transfer brought him to Kaiserslautern on an undisclosed fee.
