Jamie John Roche

Jamie John Roche grew up in Uppsala with football running in the family: his father John played semi-professionally, and his grandfather Johnny turned out for Millwall and Crystal Palace. He started out at Bälinge IF before joining the IK Sirius academy in 2012, working through the youth ranks until his first-team debut in 2020.

Sirius became the platform for his development. The left-footed defensive midfielder made 81 Allsvenskan appearances for the club, scoring twice, and added six more outings in the Svenska Cupen. His form did not go unnoticed at home: in 2022 the club's supporters voted him their Player of the Year, the "Årets Kjelledine" award.

That progress led to a move abroad in July 2023, when Lausanne-Sport signed him from Sirius for a fee in the region of 12 million Swedish kronor. Wearing the number 8 shirt in Switzerland, Roche established himself as a regular, making 96 league appearances and contributing five goals and four assists across all competitions during his time at the club.

At international level, Roche represented Sweden at youth level, earning two caps for the U20 side in 2021, though a senior call-up has not followed. In September 2026 he left Lausanne-Sport for Belgian side KV Kortrijk, signing a contract through 2029.
