About the player
Heuer came through Hannover 96's academy before Wolfsburg took him on in 2014, and he stayed inside that club's structure for years, eventually working his way into first-team football with VfL Wolfsburg II in the Regionalliga Nord, where he scored four goals in 24 appearances. A free transfer to SC Paderborn 07 in July 2021 gave him a proper foothold in senior football: he made 63 appearances and scored five goals there, enough to earn a contract extension in March 2023. In June 2024, 1. FC Kaiserslautern paid €200,000 for him, and he was a regular in the 2. Bundesliga that season, playing 26 times.
The loan to SC Preußen Münster in August 2025, arranged to cover for the injured Antonio Tikvic, turned into the most productive spell of his career. Heuer made 30 appearances and scored three goals during the loan, and was named in the Kicker Team of the Matchday for Matchday 23 of the 2025/26 season after scoring twice against his former club, Paderborn 07.
That form on loan preceded a permanent move: in June 2026, Heuer signed a three-year contract with SpVgg Greuther Fürth, joining them ahead of the 2026/27 season. He has not featured for Germany at any youth or senior level.
