Kadan Young

Kadan Young came through Aston Villa's academy after joining at under-13 level in 2018, having started out at Phoenix United. Born in Worcester to Jamaican parents, the winger holds dual British and Jamaican citizenship but has represented England throughout his youth career. He signed his first professional contract with Villa in January 2023 and made his senior debut for the club that September, starting in a 2–1 EFL Cup win over Wycombe Wanderers.

Villa have since sent him out on a string of loans to build up first-team experience, with spells at Royal Antwerp, Reading and Annecy. That time away has brought him regular minutes, including a goal for Annecy. Back with Villa, he came off the bench to make an impact in the Europa League, setting up the winning goal in a 3–2 victory over Red Bull Salzburg.

At youth level, Young has been a mainstay of the England age groups, progressing through the U16s to the U20s. He scored in a qualifier that helped England reach the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup, and was part of the squad that won the Tri-Nations Trophy with the U18s. He also featured for the U19s at the 2025 European Championship. Across his loan spells, he has worn a different number at each club.
