Luciano Emilio Gondou Zanelli

Gondou's route to CSKA Moscow began in the Argentinos Juniors academy of Sarmiento in Junín, where he joined in 2017 and, after a season on loan in River Plate's youth ranks in the Copa Libertadores Sub-20, made his professional debut against Huracán on 13 April 2021. Over the following two seasons he became a regular in the Primera División, scoring 17 goals in 82 appearances before a move to Argentinos Juniors in 2023. He marked his debut for that club with a brace against his former youth side, River Plate, and went on to add 12 league goals and five more in continental competition.

In August 2024 Zenit Saint Petersburg paid €12 million for him, and he lost no time making an impression: on his Russian Premier League debut against Pari NN he scored twice and was named Man of the Match. He stayed productive across two seasons in Saint Petersburg, contributing 10 league goals and a further 14 in the Russian Cup, and won the league title in both 2024–25 and 2025–26. Zenit also lifted the Russian Cup in his first season, beating Spartak Moscow in the final, though the following campaign ended differently — Zenit fell to Spartak in the semi-finals, and Spartak went on to win the trophy.

Gondou's switch to CSKA Moscow in January 2026 came as part of a player exchange, with CSKA defender Igor Diveev moving the other way to Zenit alongside a cash supplement. He signed with CSKA until 2030 and scored his first goal for the club against Akron in April, having debuted against Akhmat Grozny the previous month. He has also worn the Argentina shirt at Under-23 level, scoring against Iraq at the 2024 Paris Olympics before Argentina's run ended with a quarter-final defeat to France, in which he appeared as a substitute.
