Lucas Simon Pierre Tousart

Lucas Tousart made his professional debut for Valenciennes in January 2015 before Olympique Lyonnais signed him for around €2.6 million later that year. His time at Lyon brought a run of recognition with the France youth sides: he was named in the UEFA European Under-19 Championship Team of the Tournament in 2016, having already won that tournament with France, and he later reached the Coupe de la Ligue final with Lyon in 2019–20, finishing as runner-up.

The move that changed his career came in January 2020, when Hertha BSC agreed a fee of €25 million for him, though Lyon kept him on loan for the rest of that season. He made the wait worthwhile: he scored the winning goal against Juventus in the Champions League before joining up with his new club. At Hertha he became a regular, making 89 league appearances and scoring eight goals, but a knee injury in November 2020 interrupted his progress there.

Tousart moved on to 1. FC Union Berlin in July 2023 for an estimated €6–7 million, going on to make 38 league appearances for the club over two seasons. He left Union Berlin for Stade Brestois 29 in September 2025, in a transfer estimated between €1.7 million and €2.5 million.

Internationally, Tousart has represented France at Under-19, Under-20, Under-21 and Olympic level.
