About the player
Camara arrived at Torpedo Moscow in August 2024 on a permanent transfer from Black Stars worth around €120,000, but his path to the Russian club ran through Moldova. On loan at Milsomi Orhei since January 2022, the Malian forward made 45 appearances and scored 9 goals, helping the side finish bronze medallists in the 2021/22 Moldovan National Division. Rather than settling straight into the Torpedo Moscow squad, he was loaned again in February 2025, this time to Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino in Belarus, where he added 15 league appearances and 2 goals and reached the Belarusian Cup final, in which the team finished runners-up.
He returned to Torpedo Moscow in December 2025. His first goal for the club came on 1 March 2026 against Chernomorets. In August 2026 he extended his contract to 2029, but the same month brought a serious setback: a shoulder injury against Sochi, a rupture of the acromioclavicular joint, required surgery and a rehabilitation period of two and a half months.
Camara made his senior debut for the Mali national team in 2026. Born in Bamako, he began his youth career at the Black Stars academy before his move abroad. A left-footed forward, he stands 186 cm tall.
