Maksim Gaevoy

Maksim Gaevoy came through the Belarusian Football Federation Academy before joining BATE's youth ranks, and it was there that his senior career began: he made his debut for BATE in 2020 and, within a season, had a Belarusian Cup winner's medal from the 2020/21 campaign. That early success did not translate into a settled place in the side, and the following years took him away from Borisov on a series of loans, first to Arsenal Dzerzhinsk and then to Smorgon, before he returned to Arsenal Dzerzhinsk on a permanent deal.

In January 2026, Gaevoy moved on again, this time to Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino on a free transfer, signing a two-year contract. The switch gives the midfielder a fresh attempt to establish himself as a regular starter after a career so far defined by loan spells rather than a settled run in one team's first XI.

At youth international level, Gaevoy represented Belarus at both under-16 and under-17 level in 2017 and 2018, an early sign of the federation's interest in him before he had even left its academy system.
