Mille Gejl Jensen

Mille Gejl Jensen made her name with a single moment at Parken: in extra time against Brazil in June 2022, she scored the 2-1 winner in front of 21,542 spectators, a record attendance for Danish women's football. The goal was voted Goal of the Year in Denmark and worked its way into the official Euro 2022 song.

She came through Varde IF's youth ranks before joining KoldingQ, where she scored nine goals in 19 senior appearances in the 2017-18 season. That form took her to Brøndby IF in 2018, and over three seasons she scored 27 goals in 62 appearances, winning the Elitedivisionen title in 2019. A move to BK Häcken in Sweden followed in 2021, where she added 15 goals in 49 games and a Damallsvenskan runner-up medal.

Her qualifier debut brought a harder edge to the story: playing against Georgia in October 2019, she scored Denmark's opening goal before breaking her foot in the same match. She recovered to earn selection for the 2022 European Championship and the 2023 World Cup, and has gone on to win 38 caps and score seven goals for the national side.

A move to North Carolina Courage in the NWSL followed in January 2023, then a loan at Montpellier and a spell at Crystal Palace in the Women's Super League, where she scored five goals in 21 appearances. She returned to Denmark in 2025 with HB Køge, and the impact was immediate: three goals in three appearances earned her the club's Player of the Year award and the Faxe Kondi Prize.
