Muhammed Gümüşkaya

Muhammed Gümüşkaya spent seven years in the Fenerbahçe academy, from 2012 to 2019, and signed his first professional contract with the club in June 2020. A month later he made his Süper Lig debut.

First-team football at Fenerbahçe did not follow, and his early professional years were spent elsewhere. He went on loan to Boluspor for the 2020–21 season and to Giresunspor in 2022. In August 2022 Fenerbahçe sold him to the Belgian club KVC Westerlo for €500,000. The Istanbul club kept a buy-back option and 40 per cent of any future transfer profit.

Westerlo did not settle his path either. He spent 2023–24 on loan at Samsunspor and the first half of 2025 at Gaziantep FK, from January to June. When that loan ended he returned to Westerlo, and on 3 July 2025 he joined Bandırmaspor on a contract running to 30 June 2027. The fee was not disclosed.

His record with Turkey's youth teams is long and covers almost every age group: one cap at under-15 level, eight each at under-17 and under-18, three at under-19 and three at under-21. His most productive spell came with the under-23 side, for whom he played four times and scored twice. That side included him at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games.

He has not been capped by the senior national team, the A Milli, and has not received a call-up as of 2025. He has said he wants to play for it.
