About the player
A free transfer took him to 1. FC Nürnberg II, and from there to SpVgg Unterhaching in 2018 on a deal running to 2020 with an option attached.
His move to FC Carl Zeiss Jena in 2021 brought the first team honours of his career, with the Thüringer Landespokal won in both 2022 and 2023, and 13 goals in 70 league appearances for the club. His contract there was ended by mutual consent in January 2024, clearing the way for a transfer to Energie Cottbus. Krauß scored 15 goals in 50 league games and helped Cottbus win the Regionalliga Nordost title in 2023/24, sealing promotion to the 3. Liga, before adding the Brandenburgischer Landespokal in 2024.
The end of his time at Cottbus was less straightforward. He was suspended by the club shortly before his departure became known, and he ultimately moved on to Hansa Rostock on a free transfer in June 2025.
