About the player
Mikkel Kupijbida came through FC København's academy before his move to AC Horsens on 8 August 2024, when he signed a youth contract running to the summer of 2026. He worked his way through the club's Under-17 and Under-19 sides, and on 1 April 2026 he was promoted to the first-team squad.
The centre-back made his first-team debut in August 2025, wearing the number 35 shirt. In the 2026/2027 season he has featured five times in the Superligaen.
Kupijbida has also broken into the Denmark Under-19 setup, where he has won three caps without scoring. He has featured in matches against Germany, Spain, Italy and Wales at that level, including appearances in the qualifiers and finals of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship 2026.
