Marlon Matheus Lopes do Nascimento

A first honour came at Luverdense, where he barely featured for the senior team yet still collected a Copa Verde winner's medal in 2017. The pattern of scarce first-team football continued through stints at Cabofriense and Portuguesa-RJ, where he made his Série D debut without adding to his appearance count for the main side.

The turn came at Sampaio Corrêa in 2020. Marlon established himself as a first-choice player there, making 21 appearances as the club pulled clear of the relegation zone to finish sixth, and won the Campeonato Maranhense the same year. That form earned him a loan move to América Mineiro in April 2021, and on 30 May that year he made his Série A debut against Athletico Paranaense, a match his side lost 1-0. He opened his account in the competition that November, and by the end of the month had turned the loan into a permanent deal, signing as a free agent through to 2024.

América Mineiro became the longest stop of his career. Between 2022 and 2025 Marlon made 133 appearances for the club, establishing himself in the Série A after years of fighting for minutes further down the football pyramid. He also won the Campeonato Mato-Grossense with the side. In January 2026 he moved on to Cuiabá.
