About the player
Mohamed Daramy grew up playing for Hvidovre IF before joining the F.C. Copenhagen academy in 2014. He announced himself early: in a Danish Cup tie against Viby IF he became the club's youngest ever goalscorer at 16 years and 263 days. He made his senior debut for Copenhagen in 2018 and went on to win the Danish Superliga with the club in 2018–19.
His progress took him to AFC Ajax in August 2021, in a deal worth €12 million plus €1 million in add-ons. He won the Eredivisie in his first season in Amsterdam, and Copenhagen took him back on loan for 2022–23. That spell paid off: Daramy helped Copenhagen retain the Superliga title and add the Danish Cup.
In August 2023, Stade de Reims paid €17 million, including add-ons, for his signature, and he committed to a five-year contract at the club he now represents.
Internationally, Daramy gained citizenship in January 2020, and he made his senior debut against Scotland in September 2021. He has since been capped ten times, with his only goal coming in a friendly against the Faroe Islands in March 2024, and he was included in Denmark's squad during qualifying for Euro 2024.
