About the player
Nassef Chourak spent five years inside Ajax's academy before the Amsterdam club let him go in January 2026, when he moved to Kalmar FF as a free agent. Born in Woerden, he worked his way through Alphense Boys, Sparta Rotterdam, Alexandria '66 and ADO Den Haag before Ajax picked him up in 2018.
He made his senior debut for Jong Ajax in August 2023, and stayed with the club's reserve side through the following seasons rather than breaking into the first team. With his contract in Amsterdam running out in June 2026, Ajax confirmed his departure for Sweden well ahead of that expiry.
At youth international level, Chourak represented the Netherlands under-15s in 2019, making five appearances without scoring. He is of Moroccan descent but has not been capped by either nation's senior side.
