Nurlybek Ayazbaev

Nurlybek Ayazbaev is a goalkeeper who has spent most of his career at the club where he started. He came through the sports school in Aktau and made his first-team debut for Kaspiy in 2009. He stayed there until 2017.

In early 2018 he moved to Zhetysu in Taldykorgan on a free transfer. The spell did not settle him for long: in the 2019 season he went back to Kaspiy on loan for the first half of the year, then returned to Zhetysu for the second. From 2020 he was back at Kaspiy on a permanent basis, and he has remained there since.

His most distinctive season came in 2022, when he kept seven clean sheets, more than any other goalkeeper in the Kazakhstan Premier League that year. It is the individual mark that stands out in a career spent largely in one city.

He was also part of the Kaspiy squad that won the Kazakhstan First Division in 2025.

Ayazbaev represents Kazakhstan in the sense of nationality, but he has not played for the senior national team. His career has been built in the domestic league.
