About the player
Oliver Isak Ferial Kass Kawo grew up in Barkarby, in the Järfälla Municipality, and came through the youth ranks at Hallonbergens IF and Vasalunds IF before starting his senior career at his boyhood club. A move to Danish side FC Helsingør in February 2022, a season with Dalkurd FF in Sweden's Division 1 Norra in 2023, and a brief stint at Syrian club Al Karama SC in the second half of 2024, before he joined IFK Haninge. Across two seasons there he made 53 league appearances and scored eight goals in Division 2 and Ettan Norra.
He signed for FF Jaro on a free transfer in January 2026, his first move to Finland's Veikkausliiga. He has since established himself as a fixture in the starting eleven, holding his place for twelve consecutive league matches in the middle of the year, and has 32 appearances for the club with a goal and two assists in the league.
Internationally, Kass Kawo represents Syria, having made his senior debut in the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup against the United Arab Emirates. He has gone on to win eight caps and score once for the senior side. Before that, he was a regular for Syria's under-23 side, collecting 11 caps and a goal, and was part of the squad that finished third at the 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup.
