About the player
Owen Eames came through the Derby County academy and got his first senior minutes in an FA Cup tie against Leeds United on 11 January 2026, as a substitute. He had signed his first professional contract the previous July.
The Championship followed quickly. Eames made his league debut against Bristol City on 30 January, and by the end of the 2025–26 season he had six senior appearances: five in the league and the one in the cup. He had signed his first professional contract the previous July.
He plays in midfield, mostly in a central or attacking role, and is right-footed. Those are the areas where Derby have used him.
The next step came in September 2026, when Derby sent him to Scotland. Falkirk signed him on a season-long loan for the 2026–27 campaign, announced on 3 September. He made his debut for the Scottish Premiership club two days later, on 5 September.
He has not played senior football for any club other than Derby and Falkirk.
He has no international appearances for England at any level.
