About the player
Rafiu Adekunle Durosinmi left Lagos as a teenager with a scoring instinct sharpened at the Unique Football Academy and Box2Box FC. At MFK Karviná he was promoted to the senior side in 2022 and made 34 league appearances there, scoring six goals.
The move that changed things came in January 2023, when Viktoria Plzeň took him on loan with an option to buy, exercised that June for a permanent deal. It was at Plzeň that Durosinmi turned it on: named the Chance Liga's top goalscorer for September 2023 after six goals in eleven appearances during the 2023–24 season, he established himself as the club's key striker.
That form eventually priced him out of the Czech league. In January 2026, Pisa SC paid a reported fee between €10 million and €11 million to sign him, only for Belgian side KRC Genk to move that July, landing Durosinmi on a four-year contract for a club-record €10.5 million plus bonuses. He is listed among the joint top scorers in the Jupiler Pro League for the 2026–27 season with four goals.
International recognition followed the club form. Durosinmi made his debut for Nigeria on 27 May 2026 in a 2–0 win over Zimbabwe at the Unity Cup in London, and has since earned three caps for the national team.
