R. Mofokeng

Relebohile Mofokeng came through the Orlando Pirates academy and made his senior debut for the club in the 2022/2023 season, going on to make more than 125 appearances across the Betway Premiership, Nedbank Cup, MTN 8 and CAF Champions League. He legally changed his surname from Ratomo to Mofokeng in August 2023. The left winger, comfortable also in an attacking midfield role, was a key figure as Orlando Pirates won the 2025/2026 Premier Soccer League title. In December 2024 he was picked for the PSL All-Stars XI, a side drawing players from Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, and started against Magesi FC in the Carling Black Label Cup, a match his side won 3-0.

Mofokeng made his senior debut for Bafana Bafana on 11 June 2024 against Zimbabwe in World Cup qualifying and has since won 17 caps. He scored his first senior international goal against Lesotho in a qualifier in March 2025, though that result was later overturned by FIFA after the opposition fielded an ineligible player. He was named in Hugo Broos's squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and went on to be selected for the 2026 World Cup, where he made three appearances at the finals.

In July 2026 he transferred to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the Belgian Pro League, with the move agreed in principle before the World Cup. The fee was not officially disclosed, though South African and Belgian media reported figures between €1.5 million and €3.5 million.
