About the player
Raul Marte's career has been shaped as much by a spell out of the game as by any move between clubs. In the 2021/22 season, while at SC Austria Lustenau, he suffered from myocarditis and made a single appearance that year. He had made his professional debut in the 2. Liga in November 2020, only months after arriving from the AKA Vorarlberg academy, where he had trained from 2016 to 2020.
His route into senior football began in Vorarlberg. He came through the youth ranks at SK Brederis, spent four years in the academy, and made his senior debut for Brederis in the fifth-tier Landesliga in 2018–2019. At Lustenau he also turned out for the reserve side in the Regionalliga, making 18 appearances and scoring twice.
Regular football returned on loan at FC Dornbirn 1913. In 2022/23 he played 30 matches and scored once. He came back to Lustenau in June 2023 and played twice, then went back to Dornbirn from September 2023 to June 2024. He made 23 appearances there and again scored once.
In July 2024 he left Lustenau for good and joined Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz on a free transfer. Over two seasons he played 55 matches in the 2. Liga.
First Vienna FC signed him in July 2026, again on a free transfer. Seven appearances for the club followed by September.
