About the player
A loan to Operário-PR followed in 2020, but América Mineiro brought him back on a permanent deal in 2021, when he made 33 appearances.
A move abroad in early 2022 did not work out. Ricardo Silva joined FC Seoul on a free transfer but featured only once before the two sides rescinded his contract in June of that year.
Before any of that, he had moved around Brazilian football in search of a settled home. He started out at América-RN, had a brief spell at Mogi Mirim, then joined Ceará, where he won the Campeonato Cearense in both 2012 and 2013. A switch to Athletico Paranaense brought a Campeonato Paranaense title in 2016, and later that year he joined Atlético Goianiense, where he was a key player as the club won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B and secured promotion to the top flight.
He has never been capped by Brazil at any level.
