About the player
Alkmaar-born, Margaret came through the Ajax academy before switching to Vitesse, where he made his professional debut in January 2019. He joined AZ and spent three seasons with the reserve side, Jong AZ, in the Eerste Divisie. A loan to TOP Oss in 2021 turned into a permanent free transfer the following year.
The breakthrough came at RKC Waalwijk, where he signed on a free transfer in June 2023. Across two seasons in Waalwijk, Margaret established himself in the Eredivisie, and in 2024-25 he had the most successful dribbles of any player in the division.
He made his debut for Suriname in March 2025 in a win over Martinique in the CONCACAF Nations League, and scored his first goal for the country against Costa Rica at the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup that June. He has continued to find the net at international level, scoring during Suriname's 2026 World Cup qualification campaign in the autumn of 2025, and has earned 13 caps in total.
