Ronnie Harvey

Ronnie Harvey has never known another club. He joined Colchester United's development centre in Haverhill at the age of six, worked his way up through the academy, and turned full-time apprentice in 2023 before signing his first professional contract in July 2025. By August that year he was on the bench turned starter for the club's senior side in the EFL Cup against Oxford United, a debut he made at 17, and he followed it with a League Two bow the following month.

Harvey has been loaned out twice since breaking through. A short spell at Chelmsford City in December 2025 brought a debut off the bench in the FA Cup Second Round against Weston-super-Mare, and in March 2026 he moved to Salisbury City on a work experience loan for the remainder of the season. He returned to sign a new development contract with the club in July 2026, tying his progress to the academy that raised him.

Harvey is regularly talked up as one of Colchester's brighter academy prospects, though he is yet to add a first professional trophy or individual award to his name, and has not so far had any involvement with England's youth setup.
