About the player
Saad Agouzoul was supposed to be a Lille player. The Moroccan defender signed for the French club in July 2019 after two seasons at Kawkab Marrakech, but a contract that ran three years never produced a single first-team appearance — the 2019–2020 campaign was lost to injury, and Lille sent him out on loan to Royal Excel Mouscron in Belgium instead, where he finally got regular football, playing 33 times and scoring once.
The move that reshaped his career came later. After a free transfer to Sochaux and then a switch to AJ Auxerre in July 2023, Agouzoul became a fixture as Auxerre won the Ligue 2 title and returned to Ligue 1.
Auxerre then began loaning him out again. A move to Radomiak Radom in Poland brought 13 appearances from February 2025, before he joined Omonia Nicosia on loan with an option to buy in August 2025. In Cyprus he has featured in both the domestic league and the UEFA Europa Conference League, taking his tally with Omonia to 16 appearances split ten and six between the two competitions.
At international level, Agouzoul was capped a handful of times by Morocco's under-23 side in 2019.
