Tom Henning Strannegård

Start signed Tom Strannegård twice, in effect. He arrived from AIK on loan in July 2022, and that October the club activated the buy option written into the agreement and made the move permanent. AIK classed the deal as a Class I transfer, with a net fee of up to 2,500,000 SEK.

He had come through the youth ranks at IFK Stocksund, where he played from 2008, and at AIK, which he joined in 2017. He moved up to the senior squad in late 2019. In 2020 he made 12 Allsvenskan appearances, and he added 14 league games in 2021 before going out on loan to Vasalunds IF in August. There he played eight matches in the Superettan.

Strannegård's first full season in Norway came in the second tier. In 2023 he played 30 OBOS-ligaen matches and scored five goals. The league named him its Young Player of the Month for April.

Start went up to the Eliteserien, and he went with them. He played 28 league games in 2024 and scored twice. In 2025 he made 25 appearances without a goal. The 2026 season has brought 17 appearances and two goals so far.

For Sweden he has played at youth level. He won four caps for the under-17s in 2017, then four for the under-19s and four for the under-20s in 2021. In June 2023 he was called up to the under-21 squad.
