About the player
Taite Holtam made his first senior appearance for Gillingham. On 12 April 2025 both of its senior goalkeepers were unavailable, and he was handed the gloves for a League Two match against Milton Keynes Dons. Gillingham won 1–0, and Holtam kept a clean sheet.
He had signed his first professional contract in May 2024, having come through the club's academy and played for the Under-18s.
The first loan was a 28-day spell at Herne Bay in August 2024, with three appearances. From October to December he was at Phoenix Sports, where he played ten times. In January 2025 he moved to Ashford United and made ten appearances before that spell ended in February.
Ashford took him back in July 2025 on a season-long loan, and he added 11 appearances. Gillingham recalled him in November 2025, and that month he extended his contract with the club.
In January 2026 he went out again, joining Cray Valley Paper Mills until the end of the 2025–26 season. He played three games for them.
Holtam, who is 190 cm tall, has not yet won a major team title or an individual award.
