About the player
Yazmeen Ryan won a state championship as a freshman at Norman North High School, the first girls' soccer title in the school's history, before her career carried her through three NWSL clubs.
Ryan's medal collection grew quickly. She was on the books at Portland when they won the NWSL Championship in 2022, coming on as a substitute in the final, and after a trade to NJ/NY Gotham FC she started in the 2023 final as the club won the title again.
Her move to Houston Dash in December 2024 came with transfer funds and allocation money. A little over a year later, Denver Summit FC's expansion project paid even more to bring her in, sending Houston $1 million in the deal.
Internationally, Ryan made her United States debut in October 2024 against Iceland, and by January 2026 had earned 16 caps. Her first two senior goals came within days of each other in the summer of 2025, against the Republic of Ireland and then Canada.
