Čaňa

Čaňa spent the 2022–23 season adjusting to regional football at the fourth tier after clinching the 4. Liga (VsFZ – South) in 2021–22 with 28 wins from 30 matches and only two defeats.

Two spells in the 3. Liga (East), won outright in 2000 and again in 2002, remain the club's high-water mark: both promotions took it into the 2. Liga, Slovakia's second tier, where it finished 14th and 13th respectively before returning to regional competition. Earlier still, between 1981 and 1987, the club — then playing under the name TJ Družstevník Čaňa — competed in the 2. SNFL, the third tier of Czechoslovak football.

The Slovak Cup brought one notable run: a quarter-final in 2001–02, ended by a 1–5 defeat to Matador Púchov.

The name has changed with the times. From 1963 the club was TJ Družstevník Čaňa, a designation typical of the communist-era sports collectives; in 1996 it became FK Hydina Čaňa, after the poultry producer ZK Hydina that sponsored it, and supporters still call the team Hydinári — the poultry-keepers — from that period. The current name, FK Čaňa, dates from 2004. The Žltomodrí , the yellow-blues, take the nickname from a kit of blue shirt, blue shorts and yellow socks, worn at the 3,000-capacity Futbalový štadión FK Čaňa.
