Anstey Nomads

Anstey Nomads trace back to a merger of two village sides, Anstey Methodists and St Mary's, brought together in March 1946 as Anstey Meths and Mary's before the club settled on its present name the following January.

For decades afterwards, success stayed close to home: the Leicestershire Senior League title came five times between 1952 and 2009, the last of those years alone bringing four trophies, among them the Battle of Britain Cup and the Rollestone Charity Cup. The United Counties League Premier Division North title followed in 2022–23, and from there the club moved up through the pyramid from Step 6 to Step 4 within a few seasons, taking in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands title in 2025–26 along the way.

Recruiting players who had already made their name in the professional game, rather than developing them through a youth system, has driven much of that rise. Jack Colback, David Nugent and Martyn Waghorn have all turned out at Cropston Road, also known as the Marks Electrical Arena, a ground that holds around 1,000 spectators behind the club's red shirts.

Play-off meetings in 2023–24 turned Quorn and Harborough Town into sharper rivals than the older ones in Oadby and Kirby Muxloe. The club is community-owned, with a junior section of 60 teams feeding into it long before any of them reach first-team level. The promotion in 2025–26 put Anstey Nomads into the Southern League Premier Division Central, a level the club now has to hold.
