Austria U18

Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic are the opponents Austria's under-18s meet most often. The UEFA European Under-18 Championship was discontinued in 2002, so since then this age group has existed for development.

The team has no permanent home. It plays in places like Eggendorf and Mondsee, and travels abroad for the rest. Its base is the training centre in Aspern, in Vienna, with another at Bad Erlach. Players wear red and white, the same as the senior side, and the squad answers to the same name, ÖFB-Team.

The list of former squad members matters more than any trophy. Marko Arnautović passed through, and so did Martin Hinteregger and Konrad Laimer. For the record books, Hans-Peter Berger made 31 appearances, the most for the team, and Gerald Krajic scored 10 goals.

The current head coach, Oliver Lederer, arrived from the under-17s, whom he took to the final of the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup, where they finished as runners-up.
