Bamber Bridge's one Northern Premier League Premier Division title came in 1995–96, bringing the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy and the Northern Premier League Challenge Cup in 1994–95, and the North West Counties League Second Division four years before that.
The present club dates to 1974, formed by a merger of the Bamber Bridge side founded in 1952 and Walton-le-Dale FC. A team carrying the Bamber Bridge name had existed in the late nineteenth century.
The stadium, once known as Irongate, is now named for Sir Tom Finney and holds around 3,000.
Chorley and Lancaster City provide the derbies.
The biggest crowd the ground has held, 2,300, came for a friendly against the Czech Republic national team in 1996. Bamber Bridge lost it 9–1.
