Barry Town

Johnny Gardner played more than 500 games for Barry, and Dai Ward scored more than 300 goals. Between 1996 and 2003 Barry won the Welsh Premier League seven times, and added the Welsh Cup in three of the last four of those seasons. Adebayo Akinfenwa spent the 2002–03 season at Jenner Park.

The 1955 Welsh Cup sits apart from all of it, decades before the rest, and Charlie Dyke won it with the goal in the final.

The club that collected those trophies no longer exists as a legal entity. In 2013, after a dispute with owner Stuart Lovering, who withdrew the team from the league and wound up the company, the supporters' committee that had been running the club since 2011 set up a new one: Barry Town United AFC, carrying across the history and the players.

Jenner Park holds 3,500, of whom 2,200 sit. The yellow shirts and blue shorts date only from 1994 — green had been the club's colour before that, and the change came in the season Barry first won the Welsh Cup in the modern era. Michael Flynn came through the academy here and went on to play for Wales.

The name on the founding papers in November 1912 was Barry AFC.
