Boston Bolts

In USL League Two, the Bolts meet Boston City FC, New England FC and Connecticut Rush. The closest contest came in 2021, when the senior side finished second in the Northeast Division. The team has never won the national title.

The youth sides have. The girls' under-19 team took the US Youth Soccer National Championship in 1994, and the boys' under-15s won it in 2005. It dates to 1986, when four girls' teams started what is now the oldest soccer club in Massachusetts.

The name has changed more often than the colours. In 1990 the club merged with the Greater Boston Soccer Club to become FC Greater Boston Bolts. In 2012 a partnership with Celtic of Glasgow turned it into FC Bolts Celtic. Three years later the girls' club Scorpions SC joined the boys' side to form FC Boston, which came under the Bolts banner in 2017. The present name, Boston Bolts, has been in use since 2020. Through all of it the colours stayed white and sky blue, which the club calls Bolts Blue.

Diego Fagúndez is the best-known player to come through. He became the New England Revolution's first Homegrown Player. Miles Robinson and Shalrie Joseph also played for the club.

Home games are at Alumni Field in Newton, on the former Mount Ida College campus, which is now part of UMass Amherst. The ground holds 1,000.
