Seacoast United Phantoms

The 2024 national final against Peoria City Soccer went to extra time, and Seacoast United won it 3-2. Bilal Hersi and Terry Makedika scored in the final, and Taig Healy was named the Finals MVP. It was the club's first USL League Two national title, and it came after two years of winning the Northeast Division and reaching the Eastern Conference Final. In 2022 the Phantoms lost that conference final to Long Island Rough Riders. By 2024 they had won the division three years in a row and taken the Eastern Conference as well.

The club began in 1996 as the New Hampshire Phantoms, founded by Jim DeDeus, and joined the USISL Pro League. In 2008 it dropped voluntarily from the USL Second Division to the Premier Development League, the year after finishing 9th. The Premier Development League was renamed USL League Two in 2019. In 2011 the Phantoms merged with the Seacoast United Soccer Club, which had existed since 1992. The merged club moved first to Portsmouth, then settled at the Seacoast United Outdoor Complex in Epping, a ground of about 1,000 seats. Earlier home games were played at Amesbury Sports Park and Portsmouth High School.

The merger was followed almost at once by two United States Adult Soccer Association national championships, in 2011 and 2012, and three regional titles in Region III from 2011 to 2013.

Players have moved on from here. Jeff Larentowicz played for the club in 2005. Moïse Bombito was drafted by the Colorado Rapids in 2022 and later signed with OGC Nice.

The main rival is the Boston Bolts. Both clubs sit along the I-95 corridor in the Northeast Division, and the fixture is known as the "I-95 rivalry".

In 2025 the Phantoms reached the Steinbrecher Cup final and lost to El Farolito.
