Cailungo have spent this season in the wrong half of the Campionato Sammarinese table, finishing 14th in 2024-25. The team plays out of Domagnano rather than Cailungo itself, sharing the district with the club whose name it borrowed the ground's neighbourhood from, and the Stadio Fonte dell'Ovo holds only 500 people.

The club was founded in 1974, and for most of its history since it has been the smaller of the two. Supporters know the side as i rossoverdi for the red and green on the shirts.

One year stands above the rest. In 2002 Cailungo won the Trofeo Federale. It came in a season when the team also reached the Campionato final and the Coppa Titano final — losing both, as it happened, to the same opponent, Domagnano finishing on the right side of one of them. Third place in the league followed in 2004.
